Masters Tournament 1962

The twelfth ABC Masters Tournament was held at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, April 14-18, 1962. The field was 480 men.  Tournament leader Billy Golembiewski won his second title, defeating losers bracket survivor Ron Winger in the final match, 950-851.

 

 

 

Masters Tournament 1961

The eleventh ABC Masters Tournament was held at Cobo Hall in Detroit, May 6-10, 1961. The field was 487 men.  Trying to win the only major championship that had eluded him, losers bracket survivor Don Carter defeated tournament leader Dick Hoover, 840-768. That meant another match. Carter then defeated Hoover again for the title, 888-826.
