A Buzz Fazio Bibliography

July 9, 2019

Basil “Buzz” Fazio (1908-1993) made his mark in a variety of bowling formats.  He was captain of both BPAA Team Match Game champions (Stroh’s Beer, 1952-55) and ABC Team champions (Falstaff Beer, 1958).  He paired with Tony Lindemann to capture the BPAA Doubles title three times (1951, 1952, 1954).  In singles competition Fazio won the 1955 Masters, as well as two PBA tournaments. On TV bowling shows, he was the first person to roll an 800 series.  A  five-time All American, he was elected to the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1963, and ranked #31 among 20th Century bowlers in the 1999 BJI poll. And besides all that, he was fun to watch!
