Located at Broad and Cherry Streets in downtown Philadelphia, Hudson Recreation had 105 alleys, making it the largest bowling establishment of its era.  Declining patronage during World War II closed the business, and the U.S. government took over the premises.  Evidently the owners had already sold 15 of their alleys by the time this ad ran.
