Masters Tournament 1954

The fourth ABC Masters Tournament was held at the Field Artillery Armory in Seattle, April 27-May 1, 1954. The field was 128 men. In the final match, tournament leader Red Elkins beat the losers bracket survivor, 1952 champ Willard Taylor, 805-727. The victory over Taylor made Elkins the first bowler to go undefeated in winning the Masters.

Masters Tournament 1953

The third ABC Masters Tournament was held at the Chicago Coliseum, May 16-23, 1953. An expanded field of 240 men competed. In the final showdown, tournament leader Ed Brosius lost to losers bracket survivor Rudy Habetler, 809-732. Habetler then defeated Brosius again, 809-710, for the title.
