Landgraf Classic

The Landgraf Classic was a four-game scratch tournament held at Bowlmor Recreation in New York City.  Founded by tenpin impresario Bill Landgraf, the event soon became a regular stop on the informal circuit of elite tournaments.  Landgraf died in 1964, but the tournament continued on.  Though most of the later winners were league bowlers on a roll, until the end the classic always attracted a certain number of PBA members.
