Don’t recall Dick’s first book, but his second one, “Weber on Bowling” I certainly recall. Brother Jim and I started ‘Stone Walled Press’ to self-publish ‘Larry Lichstein’s: The Profitable Pro Shop’ and continued with a number of other books including ‘Weber on Bowling’, which was written by Roland Alexander. Eddie Elias was Dick’s agent and had me locked up in a one-sided deal with an escape window at 5000 books. We opted out at that point and subsequently no one else picked up the contract. Too bad, it was a great book. Greed is not a good thing!

Thanks for the info. Tom Kouros really raised the bar on instructional books with Par Bowling in 1976. Weber on Bowling came out five years later, and is much more sophisticated than The Champion’s Guide. Don’t bother looking for the first Weber book.
