    I would really love to read the guide. Wonder what are the rules that were followed in 47. Did anything change from that time?

      The biggest difference was the old Rule 24, known as the “Alleyman Rule.” Briefly stated, a team could have no more than one bowler who was employed in a bowling-related business. The reason—if your team had two or more bowlers with access to cheap or unlimited practice, that gave your team an unfair advantage. The rule was finally repealed at the ABC Convention in the late 1940s.
