    I believe he was the first “soaker” user.

      Don McCune is usually credited with inventing the soaker.

        If you remember the tv shows, it was Don and lefties, Petraglia, Anthony,……the condition was heavy oil. Don was playing 4th arrow with a small swing. Any other righty that made the show playing a ‘down & in’ shot. He also had 2 of the same ball on the rack, 1 for 1st ball shots (soaked) another for spare shots (clean). I believe Don McCune did it for the notority.

    J. R. Schmidt is correct. Don McCune was the first to introduce the soaker. His father-in-law was a chemist and they used MEK to soften the surface of the ball.
