If I remember right, Rudy Habetler had a bowling alley in Chicago on Northwest Hwy and Foster on the NW side.

You’re right. I bowled there as a kid and young man, and knew Rudy very well. His family still operates Habetler Bowl.

Thanks, I grew up in Chicago around Elston and Lawrence. In the 40′s and 50′s there was a bowling alley on Elston just north of Lawrence, Mayfair Bowl. They had 4 lanes in the basement and an upper area, approx 18 lanes, with pool tables etc. I also bowled quite a bit at Rolaway Lanes on Pulaski Road near Lawrence. Great Memories..
